How to use SearchLLM

Ask a real shopping question in your own words, get one honest, reasoned pick. Here's how to get the most out of it.

Writing a good question

The best questions include three things: the product, what matters to you, and your budget. Compare:

❌ "face wash"
✅ "ubtan face wash under ₹300 for oily skin"

Budgets work the way you'd say them: "under ₹2,000" means a ceiling, "around 1L" means that price class (lakh and k notation both work). Add who or what it's for — "for a bright living room", "for a beginner" — and the answer sharpens further. You can also attach a photo of a product to find similar items, and after any answer, tap the Sharpen this pick chips to refine in one tap.

How we decide

SearchLLM is an AI shopping answer engine, not a storefront and not a directory. You ask, we research, and you get one answer we can defend.

The recommendation is never confined to what we sell. If the honest answer is a product we don't carry and earn nothing from, that's the answer you get. If nothing in our partner inventory genuinely fits your question, we say so instead of offering you something that doesn't. We get paid only if you shop, never for showing you something.

Here's exactly how that holds up, not just as a promise: when a partner product might be relevant to your question, the AI writing your answer only ever sees its product name, brand, price and rating — never the network it's from, never what we'd earn, never anything about commission. It's told to judge each one exactly as it would if no money were involved, and it regularly returns no pick at all. Only after it has already decided does the real store link and commission data get attached to what it chose — never before, and never as an input to the decision.

That's structurally different from most AI shopping tools you'll run into now, which are increasingly a retailer's own storefront wearing a chat interface — a supermarket app's assistant only ever recommends that supermarket, a marketplace's assistant only its own catalogue. Ask either one whether you'd do better elsewhere, and there's no honest way for it to say yes. SearchLLM isn't owned by any retailer, so that's exactly the question we're built to answer straight — including when the answer sends you somewhere we earn nothing.

Reading the answer

Every answer gives you one clear pick with the reasoning, a Good for / Skip if pair so you can tell whether the pick fits you, and alternatives we considered but didn't choose — including why.

About Amazon links: when no partner product matches your question, we may show a clearly-labelled Amazon browse link. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through those links — and as always, this never changes the price you pay.

About the sponsored match: when a product from our partner stores genuinely answers your question, it appears in a clearly-labelled card with a link. Three honest promises about it: the AI that writes your answer is never told what we earn; a partner product only appears when the AI judges it a genuinely good answer — many searches show none; and the alternatives are chosen by the AI with no knowledge of what we earn on anything — their links go to Amazon and may earn us a commission, but that plays no part in which products get listed. Clicking a sponsored link never changes the price you pay.

We don't sell or ship anything — purchases, delivery and returns are between you and the retailer, so always confirm price and specs on the store's own page.

What we don't cover

Medicines of any kind (that's for doctors and pharmacists), weapons, tobacco and vaping, gambling, alcohol purchase, and adult products or services. Sexual-wellness health products (condoms, lubricants, intimate hygiene) are ordinary purchases and fully supported. Full list in the Terms of Use.
